Leadership
Brad Vanderford
Founder
Brad has a background that combines venture capital, international economic development, and management consulting to SMEs. He has 12+ years of experience across South America, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, the UK and the US.
Most recently, Brad worked as a consultant to Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm, where he coached entrepreneurs in a venture builder program and supported portfolio companies in getting ready to raise capital. Prior to that, he helped the fund manager execute on a £5M DFID innovation fund focused on job creation in Kenya.
Brad co-led Oxford Seed Fund, where he invested in innovative tech startups affiliated with the University of Oxford.
Prior to Oxford, Brad worked with Sinapis in a variety of roles over 4 years, most recently as Director of International Expansion. As an early employee and leader his efforts helped catalyze $24M in investment capital, 2,500 new jobs and significantly contributed to growing the organization from 22 entrepreneurs in 1 country to over 1,000 in 4 countries.
Prior to Sinapis, Brad worked as an internal consultant to senior management of a financial services and agricultural cooperative with $25M in assets in Paraguay, where he also established several national-level entrepreneurship education and accelerator programs.
Brad holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Oxford.
